This is Chick, right, and Dan (Chick’s caseworker,) they are checking out a new bed donated to Chick just before Christmas. Chick, a Vietnam veteran, was living in the woods for 8 years and has finally came to live inside to his own apt. mostly because of health reasons.

I love the carpet!
Living in the woods for 8 years? Clearly, the Viet Nam war is still “not over.” And then the government denies PTSD claims. Unless it’s in their family, and they have government connections. THEN they’ll get the help they need. Such a schism between the way they treat Viet Nam vets, and Iraq and Afghan vets. And such a shame.
